Mansfield, Mass. – September 27, 2011 – Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC) and provider of multi-service Multi Protocol Label Switching and Carrier Ethernet access and aggregation solutions, has announced appointments of new key executives to join the company’s expansion efforts, both geographically and in terms of product offerings. As part of a recent growth strategy, the company plans to strengthen and expand its distribution partnerships and work more closely with service providers in select high growth markets around the world. Complementing the recent appointment of Itzik Weinstein, CEO, earlier this year Telco Systems is adding the following new executives:
Greg Gum has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer. Greg comes to Telco Systems from ANDA Networks where he served as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Business Development. ANDA Networks was acquired by Telco Systems in May of this year. Greg brings a strong telecom carrier, networking equipment, venture capital, and semiconductor background having previously worked for USWEST/QWEST now CenturyLink, Philips Semiconductor, and Tsunami Ventures. Based in Sunnyvale, CA, Greg will be responsible for the Company’s marketing and business development activities worldwide.
Francois Tournesac has been appointed Telco Systems’ Senior Vice President of Sales and Support in Europe. Based in Paris, Francois has 20 years of experience spanning both fixed and mobile telecommunications. Francois previously served as head of IP/Ethernet sales for Nokia Siemens Networks, where he was responsible for targeting mobile operators in Europe and Asia. Francois also served as Europe’s marketing co-chair of the Metro Ethernet standards evolution. Earlier Francois served as Vice President of Sales with Atrica, where he initialized the enterprise Carrier Ethernet services with major European providers, using his 3Com data networking expertise developed in Asia and Europe.
Orlando Tan has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Sales in APAC. Based in Singapore, Orlando comes to Telco Systems from Audiocodes where he served in a similar role. Orlando has 18 years of experience in the information and communications technology industry with a solid track record in sales management, channel development and new business strategy. Orlando has spearheaded sales, new business and channel strategy for various organizations in both the service provider and enterprise sectors. In addition to Audiocodes, Orlando has served as the APAC region vice president of sales for ECtel and RoAPAC ECI Telecom.
