HORSHAM, Penn. — Motorola Mobility, Inc. (NYSE: MMI) is pleased to announce a new, expanded product line of Carrier Ethernet solutions. With this product line, Motorola is able to provide a complete and versatile product portfolio to satisfy the diverse business services and mobile backhaul needs of the MSO market. These Carrier Ethernet products will help MSO service providers deploy cost-effective commercial services and mobile backhaul applications.

Motorola’s new Carrier Ethernet portfolio consists of a number of powerful hub based aggregation switches/routers, customer premises based demarcation products, a leading edge Ethernet Service Management platform, and an innovative 10 Gbps Carrier Ethernet switch designed for deployment in the Fiber Node. Motorola is bringing portions of this product line to the MSO market through an agreement with Telco Systems, a BATM company. Telco Systems is a leading supplier of Carrier Ethernet solutions and has been selected by Motorola to deliver Motorola branded products for sale through Motorola’s MSO channels. Offering a full portfolio of established, proven Carrier Ethernet products as part of an integrated, multiple-solution offering, all from one company, brings unique value to the market. This “one-stop shopping” for key infrastructure needs offers service providers high-quality Carrier Ethernet products at competitive price points, enabling MSO service providers to continue to expand their share of the lucrative Ethernet business services market.

“Motorola is excited to offer this unique, robust product line of Carrier Ethernet solutions,” said Joe Cozzolino, senior vice president and general manager, Network Infrastructure, Motorola Mobility. “The combination of Motorola and Telco Systems provides complete solutions for commercial services that enable cable operators to uniquely leverage their HFC fiber infrastructure while minimizing the number of fibers required to provide commercial services.
